Yesterday was a pretty good day- Hudson and I both felt pretty calm and relaxed...Until after dinner.
Adam and I were just lying on the couches and watching some mindless tv, and I had a few contractions. They were pretty freakin' painful...I just tried to do what Doc says and stay calm and take deep breaths. Right in the middle of this little "episode", the door bell rang! It was our good buddies Nick and Krista Skytland coming by just to say hi and brighten our day! My first thought was "Oh crap, good timing!" Here I am, crying on the couch while squeezing the snot out of Adam's hand! This is going to scare Krista and Nick (expecting a son in late November) to death!
Turns out that their surprise visit was God taking the pain away from my tummy. Just having them around to chat with and laugh with made the contractions ease, and then eventually stop. Even more proof that God has a plan and this is all in His hands. He told Krista and Nick to come by randomly last night, because He knew that would be exactly what I needed.
Feeling a little sore today, but mostly thankful for good friends who love us and listen to what God says. God bless you Krista and Nick (and baby Asher!)
Yay!!! So glad we could help. I wish I could take credit for the brilliant idea... but I can't. It's all God... He's pretty smart if you ask me.
